3. Color

a. We have color samples available for you to ensure that you receive the color that fits your space. We highly recommend using physical samples to choose your color.

b. We can provide photos of samples and finished products to help you narrow down your color selection. We do not recommend basing your final decision off of photos alone, as colors may appear differently when viewed on various devices and lighting significantly affects the true appearance of color.

c. Concrete colors may vary based on many factors and the final color may vary from the sample provided.

d. Color names are not based on colors from other manufacturers/paint suppliers and are not representative of real life objects. Actual colors may vary from individual perception.

e. We can create custom samples based on color samples provided by you. We will do our best to get the most accurate match and return a sample to you for final verification. This is not included in the price of your original order and may delay order completion. Concrete is a natural material and colors are not a specific as paint colors.

f. Concrete Designs will not be responsible for the natural variance in color between the samples and the final product. If you do not purchase color samples, you forfeit any right to returns or refunds, based on the final color of the product.

g. Concrete may have variations in color throughout the finished product. This is natural and not an indication of a bad product and is not eligible for returns or refunds.

4. Shipping

a. Concrete Designs will work to ship your product within the designated timeframe. If we have to delay the shipping on your product after we start production, we will have storage fees of $75/day that must be paid before we ship your product. If you know that you will not need the product until a later date, we can hold off on production until a more appropriate time to fit your schedule.

b. Concrete Designs has no control over the product after it leaves our facility and is not responsible for anything that happens to the product after it has been picked up by the freight carrier.

c. Shipping is included to the contiguous United States, with the exception of Island areas on the coasts that require travel by ferry, including but not limited to the San Juan Islands, off the New England Coast, Great Lake islands, etc. In these cases additional shipping charges will occur or we will ship to a mainland location for transfer.

d. Most of our products will ship via freight carriers. These carriers require a contact name and phone number for delivery. Once the crate arrives at your nearest terminal, the freight company is supposed to call you and schedule the delivery.

i. Please expect this phone call, any delays in communication and subsequently, delivery, may incur additional charges from the freight carrier at their discretion. Concrete Designs will not be responsible for these charges.

ii. Freight companies typically only deliver Monday-Friday during business hours. Rural areas have limited delivery schedules and may delay delivery.

iii. Concrete Designs is not responsible for any delays in shipping or delivery nor damages in shipping.

iv. Crates are secured with Phillips screws, having a drill on hand at delivery will allow for quick inspection.

v. An adult must be present during delivery.

e. All shipping is curbside delivery. The shipping companies nor drivers are responsible for delivering the crate inside or leaving it anywhere other than curbside.

f. We will order a liftgate for deliveries whenever possible. Any product ordered that is over 80” in length may not be eligible for the liftgate service. In this case, you are responsible to have a forklift or people on site to offload the crate. Concrete Designs will not be responsible for any additional charges for failed deliveries, redeliveries, or subsequent storage fees.

g. Upon delivery, inspect the crate for visible damage. This may include missing panels, broken boards, protruding screws, pallet wrap, metal or plastic packaging bands. Have the driver make a note of any damages to the crate. If you can see that there are damages to the product, make the driver make a notation as well. If the product is obviously damaged beyond repair, you may refuse the delivery based on damages.

i. Within 24 hours of delivery, please open the crate and inspect the product for damages. If you find damages, please take lots of photos of the crate, papers on the crate, and the product and send them to Concrete Designs.

ii. In the event of damages, please contact us as soon as possible. We will take the photos that you provide and file a claim and we will immediately start a replacement and get it out the door as quickly as possible.

5. Storage and Handling

a. Do not store your new product in the crate.

b. Store the product in a safe, clean place, indoors, and well supported. Do not store upside down as this can trap moisture against the surface and cause discoloration.

c. When handling the product, carry it on edge, do not carry it flat.

6. Installation

a. Install the product according to the included installation instructions.

b. After installation, protect the surface from other trades to avoid staining and scratches.

i. We recommend covering the surface with clean cardboard or similar products. We do not recommend covering with plastic. If tape must be used on the surface, use gentle painters tape. Do not leave protection or tape on the surface for more than a few hours at a time.

ii. If items are left on the surface long term, they can potentially cause discolorations or surface damage. Concrete Designs will not be responsible for any damages after the product has left our location.

iii. Keep the surface free from dust and debris and do not store materials on the surface as this may scratch, discolor, or otherwise damage the surface.

iv. Do not stand on the concrete surface.

7. Care

a. Follow the care and maintenance instructions provided.

b. Do not allow moisture to be trapped against the surface. Utilize rubber feet under soap dishes etc, to avoid trapping moisture as this can cause discoloration. Utilize felt or trivets underneath unfinished ceramics or objects with sharp or rough edges.

c. Many flatter bottomed sink basins, regardless of material, do not drain every drop of water. This is due to surface tension between the water and surface. Due to this, small amounts of water may stand in the basin. If this is left long term, it is possible that it may discolor the surface. These discolorations are not permanent, but may take a significant amount of time to even out. This is normal.

d. Kitchen sinks, while concrete makes a beautiful basin, the concrete will not hold up to the abuse of constant food, water, soap, abrasions, etc. that commonly occur in a kitchen sink. If you do choose a concrete kitchen sink basin, it will need more care and resealing than any other concrete surface. You can prolong the life by utilizing a stainless steel rack at the bottom of the sink.
